CryptBackup: Encrypted backup for linux desktop users

Graphical user interface to backup your home directory encrypted on an external hard drive

With this GUI even a layperson is able to backup the home directory (including the desktop) on an encrypted external device with just a few clicks.

Even the setup is only to choose the external device (for example an external hard drive) and to set a password.

Documentation

The programme is quite self-explanatory.

After the installation you will find it in the menues as "Applications > System tools > Backup home directory" and "System > Backup setup".

Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala)

Because there is no xdialog package for Ubuntu 9.10, CryptBackup can not be installed. We are working on a GTK-Version which will work in all Linux environments.
